Private Firekeeper

You don’t need someone to run your life.

You may need someone who can see the whole thing with you.

  • Your marriage.
  • Your children.
  • Your body.
  • Your faith.
  • Your money.
  • Your work.
  • Your courage.
  • The things you say matter most.

Most capable men do not need more information.

Sometimes they need enough distance to see what is strong, what is drifting, and what is no longer receiving enough of them.

Private Firekeeper is 90 days of putting the actual life on the table and tending what matters from there.

Start With Your Fire Map

30-minute private phone call. We’ll begin your Fire Map together.

You do not need to know exactly what is wrong before we talk.

Put the life on the table. We can start there.

Private 1:1 work with Stratton. By conversation only.

I · Your Fire Map

Put the actual life on the table.

Private Firekeeper begins with your Fire Map.

Not the version of your life you explain quickly when someone asks how things are going.

The actual life.

  • Marriage.
  • Children.
  • Body.
  • Faith.
  • Money.
  • Work.
  • Relationships.
  • Purpose.

The places where you feel strong.

The places where you know something is slipping.

A sample Fire Map: a private working view of one man's life across marriage, family, body, faith, money, purpose and courage, showing his Proof Gap, the condition of his fire, current tending, proof collected, word kept, and session reflections.

Not a scorecard for judging the man.
A map for tending the life.

You do not have to know where to begin before you arrive.

The Map helps us see the whole terrain first.

What needs tending now?

Come Closer

The Map is not the work.
It helps us see the work.

The whole life matters.

But we do not stare at a dashboard and try to fix a man.

We use the Map to see more clearly, ask better questions, and decide what deserves his life now.

Fire Map close-up: The Fire I Refuse to Let Die: the husband, father, friend, and man I intend to become.

The Fire I Refuse to Let Die

Who are you refusing to lose?

Before goals, habits, or plans, we name what cannot be allowed to disappear.

  • The husband.
  • The father.
  • The friend.
  • The believer.
  • The builder.
  • The man you know you are meant to be.

The point is not to invent a new identity.

It is to remember what must remain alive.

Fire Map close-up: The Proof Gap: a radar chart comparing Day 1 with now across marriage, family, faith, health, money, purpose, courage and friendship.

The Proof Gap

Where do your words and your life disagree?

  • You may say your marriage matters.
  • Your children matter.
  • Your health matters.
  • Your faith matters.
  • Your word matters.

The Proof Gap helps us see where the recent evidence of your life agrees and where it does not.

Not to condemn the man.
To know where tending may be needed.

Fire Map close-up: Current Tending: Tell the truth without defending; Train the body like it matters.

Current Tending

What gets your life now?

The Map shows the whole terrain.

We do not attack the whole terrain.

Together, we choose the few things that deserve deliberate attention in this season.

  • The conversation.
  • The body.
  • The promise.
  • The relationship.
  • The decision.
  • The thing that cannot keep drifting.

That becomes Current Tending.

Proof

Did anything actually change?

Fire Map close-up: Proof Collected: 28 pieces of lived proof, 8 this week.
Fire Map close-up: Word Kept: 69%, with promises made, kept, renegotiated and abandoned.
Fire Map close-up: Latest Proof: today and two days ago.
Fire Map close-up: Latest Proof: five days ago and one week ago.

We collect lived evidence.

  • A hard conversation had.
  • A promise kept.
  • A repair made.
  • A workout completed.
  • A boundary held.
  • Time with a child protected.
  • A decision finally made.

Not because a man's life should become a scoreboard.

Because what matters should eventually become visible in how he lives.

The Map helps us see.
The relationship helps us tend.

One makes the life visible. The other keeps us close enough to do something about it.

II · The Relationship

The Map is not Private Firekeeper.
The relationship is.

You can see the Map by yourself.

You can recognize where something is slipping.

You can even know exactly what needs tending.

And still keep living the same way.

Seeing clearly is not always the same thing as moving.

Sometimes the conversation still does not happen.

The promise still gets pushed another week.

The body keeps waiting.

The marriage keeps absorbing the distance.

The thing you said mattered keeps receiving whatever is left.

That is where Private Firekeeper begins.

For 90 days, I know your life.

  • I know what you told me matters.
  • I know the man you refuse to lose.
  • I know what you said you would tend.
  • I know where the proof is thin.
  • I know what happened last week and what did not.

That changes the conversation.

We can get underneath the surface faster.

We can tell the truth sooner.

We can stop speaking vaguely about “doing better” and deal with what is actually happening.

Beside

Not above the man.

I am not here to run your life or pretend I understand it better than you do.

We look at it together.

Truth

Say what is actually happening.

Not the polished answer.

Not what you think you should be doing.

What is true now.

Agency

Your life remains yours.

I can challenge you, question you, remind you, and stay close.

I cannot live it for you.

Witness

Someone remembers what you said mattered.

I will remember the promise.

I will remember the conversation you said you needed to have.

I will remember the man you said you refused to lose.

And I will notice when you begin disappearing from him.

The Fire Map gives us something real to see.

The relationship gives us somewhere real to go.

Private Firekeeper is not about making you dependent on me.

It is about staying close enough to the life you said mattered that we can tell when something needs tending and do something about it.

III · Why Private

Sometimes a man needs a room.
Sometimes he needs someone who knows the whole Map.

Brotherhood matters.

There are things that happen among men that do not happen alone.

Being known by a room matters.

But there are seasons when the whole room is not the need.

Sometimes the need is more specific.

  • The conversation with your wife.
  • The decision you keep circling.
  • The promise you made.
  • The part of your body or faith or work that keeps slipping.
  • The thing that does not need another idea.

It needs your attention.

Private work lets us stay with the thread.

Not hear the story once.

Not offer one good conversation and move on.

Stay with it.

  • What happened after you talked to her?
  • Did you keep the word?
  • Did the pattern return?
  • Did the thing you said mattered actually receive your life?
  • Did something change, or did it only become clearer?

That continuity is the point.

The Map gives us context.

The relationship lets us keep returning to what matters until there is something real to point to.

The point is not more access to Stratton.

The point is enough proximity to stop losing the thread.

Enough context to know what changed.

Enough honesty to say what did not.

Enough continuity to keep tending what matters.

Sometimes the work needs a room.

Sometimes it needs one man beside you.

IV · The 90 Days

We do not try to fix your whole life.

We see it.

We choose what matters now.

We tend it.

We look for proof.

Your Fire Map may show several places worth attention.

That does not mean we attack all of them at once.

Ninety days gives us enough time to see the whole terrain, choose deliberately, stay with the work, and watch what begins to change.

  1. 01 · Map

See the life as it actually is.

We begin with the whole terrain.

    What matters.

    What feels strong.

    What is drifting.

    Where the evidence is thin.

    What you refuse to lose.

The Map gives us a real beginning point.

    Not a verdict.

    A place to begin.

  2. 02 · Choose

    Decide what gets tended now.

    Everything may matter.

Everything cannot receive the same attention at the same time.

    The conversation you keep avoiding.

The marriage that needs more of you.

    The body you stopped tending.

The decision you already know is waiting.

The faith that has gone quiet.

The work that is taking too much, or not enough, of your life.

Together, we decide what this season is asking of you.

We make it specific enough to tend.

  3. 03 · Tend

Give what matters your actual life.

    Then we work.

Conversations. Decisions. Practices. Courage. Repair. Restraint. Action.

    Sometimes the work is dramatic.

    Usually it is not.

Usually it looks like a man repeatedly giving his attention, courage, time, and word to something he said mattered.

What you do not tend, you surrender.

  4. 04 · Proof

    Look at what became true.

    We collect evidence.

    Not perfection. Proof.

The place where your life now agrees more closely with what you said mattered.

As the evidence changes, the Map changes with it.

The path has a shape.

Map → Choose → Tend → Proof gives us a way to move.

It does not decide in advance what your life is supposed to need.

Your marriage may become the work.

Or your body.

Or faith.

Or a decision.

Or something neither of us could have named on day one.

We follow what is true.

Ninety days will not complete the whole story.

But it can change what the story is proving.

At the end, we do not have to ask vaguely whether you “grew.”

We can look at what became true.

V · The Rhythm

The work happens between the conversations too.

Life does not conveniently happen during a scheduled call.

The conversation with your wife happens on Tuesday.

The decision hits you in the truck.

The old pattern shows up again on Friday night.

The thing you said you would tend starts slipping on a completely ordinary afternoon.

Private Firekeeper is built around the life happening in between.

Weekly

We come back to the Map.

Each week, we look at what is actually happening now.

What moved.

What did not.

What became clearer.

What you avoided.

What needs your attention next.

Between

You do not have to save your life for next week's call.

There is private access between our scheduled conversations.

Not so you become dependent on constant contact.

So when something real happens, the work does not have to go cold for six days.

A conversation happens.

A decision needs making.

You notice the pattern in real time.

You keep the word.

You do not.

We can stay close to what is actually happening.

The Map

The Fire Map is not a Day One assessment we forget about.

Current Tending can change. Proof gets added.

It remains a living view of the life we are tending together.

Brotherhood

Private does not mean isolated.

During the 90 days, The Fire is included.

The Fire is the larger Firekeeper brotherhood.

There are things one private relationship can hold.

There are other things that become possible when a man is among other men tending lives of their own.

You do not have to choose between being known deeply and belonging to a room.

The private work gives us depth.

The Fire keeps brotherhood around it.

The 90 days include

Your Fire Map
The living view of the life we are tending.
Private conversations each week
Dedicated space to see clearly, tell the truth, decide what matters, and move.
Private access between conversations
So the thread can continue when real life happens.
Current Tending + Proof
Clarity on what receives your attention now and evidence of what actually changes.
The Fire
Brotherhood around the private work for the length of the engagement.
Enter the Fire
Guided breathwork when the work needs more than thought alone.

A man cannot always think his way back to life.

The structure holds the work.

The life decides what the work becomes.

Some weeks will be about a marriage.

Some about a body.

Some about courage, faith, work, money, fatherhood, or a decision you have avoided.

We do not force the life into the method.

The work follows the man.

VI · The Man Beside You

Men tend to tell me the truth.

I do not say that because I have life figured out.

I do not.

But again and again, when the performance falls away, men talk to me.

About their marriages. Their fathers. Their failures. Their fears. Their faith. Their ambition. The things they are ashamed of. The things they have never said. The lives they actually want.

That matters here.

The Map only helps if we are honest about the life it represents.

Not the version that sounds impressive.

Not the version you think you should be living.

The actual life.

What is working.

What is not.

What you want.

What you are avoiding.

What you are afraid to lose.

What you already know.

We cannot tend a life we are pretending about.

I will not pretend to know your life better than you do.

My job is not to diagnose you.

It is not to run your life.

It is not to make you dependent on my answers.

My job is to see clearly with you.

To listen closely.

To ask the question underneath the answer.

To remember what you told me mattered.

To notice when your life begins drifting from it.

To challenge you when challenge is needed.

To stay beside you while you decide what comes next.

You do not have to perform strength here.

You can be capable and uncertain.

Responsible and tired.

Strong in one part of your life and completely lost in another.

You can know what needs to happen and still admit that you have not done it.

I do not need you to arrive with the right words.

Tell me what is actually happening.

We can begin there.

For 90 days, that truth has somewhere to go.

Into the Map. Into Current Tending. Into the next conversation. Into the decision. Into the repair. Into proof.

The goal is not merely to say the thing out loud.

The goal is to let the truth change what happens next.

The Fire Map can show us the terrain.

But the work still requires two men willing to tell the truth about what is there.

Men tend to tell me the truth.

That is where some of my best work with them begins.

VII · The Man Carrying the Torch

I did not learn this work from a distance.

There are things I recognize in men because I have known them in myself.

What survival can look like from the outside.

What it can cost on the inside.

What happens when a man keeps moving because he has to.

What happens when buried things stay buried long enough.

When I was ten, my parents' marriage fell apart.

A few months later, while our family was still living inside that collapse, I witnessed a tragic accident that took the life of my three-year-old youngest brother - the youngest of five boys.

After that, survival did what survival does.

It kept me alive.

It also buried me.

For nearly ten years, I lived in a darkness that almost swallowed me whole.

Eventually, I stopped running from it.

I turned and faced the darkness.

And somewhere in that fight, I found the light.

I did not come back untouched.

I came back carrying a torch.

That does not make me the authority on another man's life.

It does mean I recognize what it can look like when something alive in a man has been buried beneath responsibility, survival, fear, grief, or time.

But it can still be tended.

When a man sits across from me, I am not looking for what is wrong with him.

I am listening for what is still alive.

What he still gives a damn about.

What he refuses to lose.

What may have gone quiet without actually disappearing.

I recognize buried men because I was one.

Private Firekeeper is not about recreating my path in another man's life.

It is about helping him stay close enough to his own life to recognize the path that is his.

My life is still becoming proof too.

VIII · Who This Is For

You do not have to be falling apart.

Your life may look mostly fine from the outside.

You work.

You provide.

People depend on you.

You answer the phone.

You keep moving.

And there may still be something you know is not receiving enough of you.

Your marriage.

Your children.

Your body.

Your faith.

Your work.

Your word.

A relationship.

A decision.

The man you know you want to remain.

Maybe you know exactly what it is.

Maybe you only know there is something.

Either is enough to begin.

You do not need to know what to call it.

You do not need a diagnosis.

You do not need coaching experience.

You do not need to have been in a men's group.

You do not need to know what your Proof Gap is before we talk.

You do not need to arrive with the perfect explanation.

Bring the actual life.

We can begin there.

This may be for you if

You are capable enough to keep going, but honest enough to know that continuing is not the same thing as tending.

There is something you refuse to let drift indefinitely.

You are tired of thinking about the same conversation, decision, promise, or change without moving.

You want somebody close enough to know the whole story, not just one isolated problem.

You are willing to tell the truth about what is actually happening.

And you are willing to do something with that truth.

You are not looking for someone to rescue you.

You are looking for a place where the whole life can be put on the table.

This is not for every man

Private Firekeeper is not for a man looking for somebody else to make his decisions.

It is not a shortcut around responsibility.

It is not a place to perform seriousness while avoiding action.

And it is not a replacement for therapy, medical care, legal advice, financial advice, or other professional care when that is what a situation requires.

This work asks for willingness.

Willingness to be known.

Willingness to tell the truth.

Willingness to act.

Willingness to repair.

Willingness to change your mind.

Willingness to admit when you did not keep your word.

I cannot want your life more than you do.

But if you are ready to tend it, I will come close.

IX · The Invitation

Start with your Fire Map.

You do not have to decide from this page whether Private Firekeeper is right for you.

You do not have to know exactly what is wrong.

You do not have to arrive with the language for it.

Put the actual life on the table.

We can begin there.

If you already know the gap, bring it.

If you only know something matters, bring the life.

We can see what is strong.

What is drifting.

What refuses to leave you alone.

What may deserve tending now.

The commitment

This is serious private work.

Private Firekeeper is a 90-day private engagement.

For men invited into the work, expect a serious mid-four-figure investment for the 90 days.

We do not begin with payment.

We begin by seeing whether this is the right work, at the right time, with the right man.

By conversation only.

Start With Your Fire Map

30-minute private phone call.

We’ll begin your Fire Map together.

Afterward, I’ll build your custom Fire Map snapshot by hand.

No performance.

No need to have it figured out.
