Firekeeper
Privacy Policy
Last updated: 5 October 2026
This policy describes how Firekeeper collects, uses, and retains personal information. Firekeeper is operated by Sollevare Ventures LLC (“we,” “us”). Firekeeper is a brand and product of Sollevare Ventures LLC.
A plain-language companion to this policy is available at What Firekeeper Keeps. This document controls where the two differ.
1.Scope
This policy applies to the Firekeeper website and the forms on it. It does not apply to third-party sites we may link to.
2.Information we collect
We collect only information you choose to submit:
- Waitlist: name, email address, optional community handle, any optional open response, and the page or link parameters that brought you to the form (source and UTM values).
- Optional waitlist research: answers to a short set of optional questions about your situation and interests.
- Proof Gap Assessment: your responses, including numeric ratings and any free-text reflections, together with the pathway and scores our engine generates from them, and the first name and email address you provide to receive your Snapshot. After the Snapshot is delivered, Stratton personally reviews the assessment you submitted, including your written evidence and context, to prepare a personal Proof Read. No new category of information is collected beyond what you submit.
- Contact form: your name, email address, selected topic, and message - submitted notes are not stored in Firekeeper’s application database; they are delivered to the Firekeeper receiving mailbox, where correspondence is held.
We do not collect payment information. We do not create user accounts or passwords. We do not use advertising trackers, pixels, or third-party analytics services. Our hosting infrastructure keeps standard server logs necessary to operate and secure the site.
3.How we use information
To provide what you requested (delivering the immediate Proof Gap Snapshot and personally reviewing the submitted assessment to prepare the personal Proof Read, replies, waitlist confirmation); to send non-essential Firekeeper updates to people who joined the waitlist; to understand, in aggregate from optional waitlist research, what men are carrying, so we can build The Fire well; and to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the site.
4.Our purposes and, where applicable, legal bases
Data-protection laws do not apply uniformly to every visitor or operator. Where such a framework does apply to a given interaction, our processing is generally grounded in: performing what you asked us to do (delivering a Snapshot and preparing a personal Proof Read, responding to a message); our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving Firekeeper and its services; consent, where consent is the applicable and appropriate basis, such as for non-essential Firekeeper updates; and compliance with legal obligations. We describe our purposes here accurately and do not assert a legal conclusion about which frameworks govern any particular visitor. Where consent is the applicable basis, you may withdraw it at any time, and withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out.
5.Email
We send two kinds of email.
Transactional or requested messages - your Proof Gap Snapshot and personal Proof Read, a waitlist confirmation, or a reply to something you sent us. These are sent because you asked for them or initiated contact.
Non-essential Firekeeper updates - occasional news about The Fire and related invitations, sent to people who joined the waitlist. You may unsubscribe from these at any time; every Firekeeper update includes a way to do so. Unsubscribing stops non-essential updates and does not prevent us from replying to a message you send us.
For deliverability reasons, an unsubscribe link may also appear on transactional messages; its presence does not mean you have been added to any list.
6.Sharing and disclosure
We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. We do not disclose your Proof Gap responses for any third party’s own use. Service providers necessarily process and store information in order to operate the site on our behalf, and only for that purpose:
- Lovable - website hosting and delivery.
- Lovable Cloud (built on Supabase, hosted on Amazon Web Services, United States) - database and application backend.
- Our hosting provider’s managed email service - email delivery.
We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect our rights or the safety of others.
7.International transfers
Our systems are hosted in the United States. If you access Firekeeper from outside the United States, information you submit is processed in the United States.
8.Retention
We keep information only as long as it remains reasonably useful for the purpose for which it was provided, plus any legitimate administrative or legal need:
- Waitlist records: deleted 24 months after your most recent interaction, or on a valid deletion request.
- Optional waitlist research responses: 18 months.
- Proof Gap written reflections and assessment answers: 12 months.
- Proof Gap contact details and generated pathway and scores: 24 months.
- Contact form correspondence: held in the receiving mailbox and reviewed for deletion on a 24-month basis after the last interaction; this review is manual and is not performed by the automated retention job. The email delivery log does not contain the submitted name, topic, or message body and is retained 12 months.
- Email delivery and event logs: 12 months.
- Unsubscribe and suppression records: retained as necessary to continue honoring the opt-out.
We honor deletion requests within 30 days, subject to information we must reasonably retain to honor an opt-out or meet a legitimate legal obligation.
9.Your choices and requests
Regardless of where you live, we voluntarily offer every visitor the ability to: request a copy of the information we hold about you; request correction; request deletion; and unsubscribe from non-essential email. Some jurisdictions provide additional rights; where those laws apply to us, we will honor them. Contact us using the details in Section 14. We do not charge for these requests and will not treat you differently for making one.
10.Sale of personal information
We do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
11.Children
Firekeeper is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn we have, we will delete it.
12.Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures, including encrypted transport, access-controlled storage, and row-level access rules on our database. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we do not guarantee absolute security.
13.Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date above, and where appropriate we will notify waitlist members by email.
